Captain America: Civil War became available to stream on Netflix — the home of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the upcoming Iron Fist — for the very first time! If you're already a subscriber or a trialist, click here to begin watching it ad nauseam. When Marvel's Captain America: Civil War opened in May, it debuted at #1 — making it the the 13th consecutive film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to do so — with $179.1 million, which is the fifth-biggest domestic opening of all time. Overall, it earned $1.15 billion at the worldwide box office and is currently the highest-grossing film of 2016.
Audiences awarded Civil War with an 'A' CinemaScore and top crtics on Rotten Tomatoes gave it an impressive 89% "fresh" rating. Everyone loved it! Well, maybe not everyone. Mark Millar, the award-winning comic book writer that penned the comic book mini-series the film is loosely-based on, wasn't impressed. He enjoyed the first twenty-minutes, but from there on out, he lost interest in its bleak story.
